Dr. Shannon Curry is a research scientist at the Space Sciences Laboratory at the University of California, Berkeley, where she currently is involved in NASA and NSF supported research projects. Her research focus is on terrestrial planetary atmospheres, primarily in simulating the atmospheric escape and analyzing plasma data from weakly magnetized planets. She is also involved in developing instruments for future flight missions to other bodies in the solar system. She is currently a science team member for the NASA Mars Atmospheric and Volatiles EvolutioN (MAVEN) mission, Parker Solar Probe (PSP), and a collaborator on NASA’s Nexus for Exoplanet System Science (NExSS) program.
