ENGINEERING

We have the engineering expertise to design, build and test hardware for a variety of space and ground based projects from commercial cubesats, high altitude balloons and sounding rockets, and ground based telescopes up through NASA flagship missions. We excel in the execution of full missions; providing Project Management, Mission Systems Engineering, and Safety and Mission Assurance (S&MA); in addition to the core engineering disciplines (electrical, mechanical, optical, thermal, and technical assembly) . We have a long history of providing highly capable and specialized instrument suites on cost and schedule for numerous NASA missions. Our facilities support cleanroom fabrication and environmental testing of hardware for current programs, with future capabilities anticipated to further enhance SSL’s contribution to NASA long term goals and new space challenges.
