Colin Triplett received his Ph.D. from the University of Alaska, Fairbanks in Atmospheric Sciences. His research focuses on dynamics of the middle and upper atmosphere and how different scale waves interact and drive the atmospheric system. He has used both model simulations as well as sounding rocket/lidar data to study multiple scales from turbulence to atmospheric tides.
Colin is currently working with the Ionospheric Connection Explorer (ICON), NASA’s explorer mission to study the interaction of the neutral atmosphere and the ionosphere.
