SSL held its first ever Student Alumni Career Panel on Thursday, April 7, 2022 (online, via Zoom). The panel featured Dr. Carolyn Kierans, Alexander Fogle, and Sean Nord, all of whom are former UC Berkeley students who worked at the Lab. They spoke to current UC Berkeley undergrads about their time at Cal/SSL and how it influenced their career paths since graduating. The panel was facilitated by Paula Nordstrom Miranda, SSL’s first ever Undergraduate Community and Opportunity Builder, who works to maintain and build an active, equitable, and supported undergraduate student community at the Lab. She also helps SSL create new undergraduate opportunities, as well as increase its connections with other undergraduate education entities on campus.
