The Solar Wind Electrons Alphas and Protons (SWEAP) investigation is the set of instruments on the Parker Solar Probe (PSP) spacecraft that directly measure the properties of the plasma in the solar atmosphere. The UC Berkeley Space Sciences Laboratory designed and built the SPAN-Ai ion electrostatic analyzer, SPAN-Ae electron electrostatic analyzer and the SPAN-B electron electrostatic analyzer on the suite.
