Scott graduated from Swarthmore College in 2020 with a B.Sc in Engineering. Since then, he has been working at SSL on instrumentation electronics for projects such as HERMES SPAN-I (an ion instrument for NASA’s Lunar Gateway program, intended as a rest stop in Lunar orbit for future Artemis astronauts) and TRACERS EFI (double probe electric field instrument for the UIowa-led mission studying magnetic reconnection near the Earth). He also works on future mission concepts such as OCTAVE/Grotifer (3D electric field instrument with rotating booms from a SmallSat platform).
