David has BS and MS degrees in mechanical engineering from UC Berkeley. He began his tenure at SSL in 2008, as a graduate student working on a CubeSat project, and became a staff engineer in 2009. He has been the mechanical engineer for SSL instruments on NASA’s MAVEN, Parker Solar Probe, and TRACERS missions. He has also worked as the mechanical engineer two CubeSat projects and seven different suborbital rocket missions. In his spare time, David does high-speed nature photography.
