Center for Science Education
The Center for Science Education has earned a reputation for excellence and innovation in space science education and public outreach. We are a group of scientists, educators, and staff who develop products and programs for K-12 educators, students, science museums, diverse cultural groups, and the general public.
We seek to increase general scientific literacy and improve the teaching and learning of science, mathematics, and technology, as well increase the participation of underserved groups in space science.
We help scientists become more involved in education and outreach as part of our ongoing activities, or as partners in education components of science research proposals to NASA, the National Science Foundation, and other agencies. Some of our many partners include: the National Air and Space Museum, San Francisco Exploratorium, UC Berkeley Lawrence Hall of Science, Oakland Museum of African American Technology, the California State University system, NASA Centers, and school districts nation-wide.
