We present results from two simultaneous, multi-wavelength monitoring programs of nearby flare stars. EV Lac (dM4.5e) was observed simultaneously with the VLA (at 3.5 and 20 cm), with the two-channel photometer on the McDonald Observatory 36" telescope (U BV R), with the EUVE photometer and spectrometers, and with the PCA on RXTE from 1996 October 2-6. A number of small to moderate flares were observed in one or more instruments. In particular, a 1.4 mag U-band flare was clearly seen on 1996 Oct 2 in the radio, optical, and EUV. We discuss coronal flare energetics during this flare event.
AU Mic (dM1.2e) was observed by EUVE and RXTE in 1996 June. The AU Mic observations were coincident with the serendipitous detection of a rapid (50 s) EUV transient by the ALEXIS experiment on 1996 June 15. No evidence for an EUVE flare was seen at the time of the 4-sigma ALEXIS transient, indicating either a spurious detection by ALEXIS or an unexpectedly large position error.
