NEWSFLASH: On 8 April, as a Target of Opportunity (TOO) approved under Directory's Discretionary Time (DDT), EUVE observed the newly discovered x-ray transient source XTE J1118+480. In a 20-ksec observation, coordinated with both HST and RXTE, EUVE strongly detected this source in both the deep survey (DS) imager and the short-wavelength (SW) spectrometer. A follow-up observation of this source is currently being planned, to be coordinated with HST, RXTE, and Chandra.
